Meghan Markle received a 'royal masterclass' from the Queen before dramatically quitting the family

The Duchess of Sussex was given a "master class" from the Queen upon entering the royal family, according to biographers of new book Finding Freedom.
- Finding Freedom claims Meghan Markle received a "master class" from the Queen on how to follow royal protocol
- It also says she was often seen carrying binders full of research
- It follows royal news that Prince Philip will break retirement for THIS personal reason
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped down as senior royals earlier this year after she admitted it had been a "struggle" adapting to royal life. But it came after months of trying and even undertaking masterclasses with the Queen.
According to new book, Finding Freedom, the Duchess of Sussex did everything she could to clue up on royal protocol and put her best foot forward during her time in the Firm.
In the book - which is authored by Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie - an insider revealed that the Queen had confidence in Meghan's ability to settle into the family.

A source revealed, "Meghan, an avid learner studying all she could on royal protocol, was often seen carrying binders full of research so she didn't put a foot wrong. She took her new role incredibly seriously. That day was different, though; she was getting a royal master class in training from the Queen herself."
The pair undertook their first royal engagement together back in 2018 on a trip to Chester. And the Queen made sure Meghan felt right at home.
Omid and Carolyn wrote, "The Queen was wonderful, warm, and generous toward the new Duchess.

"She made sure Meghan knew what was going on and made her feel very much at home because it was her first trip.' Indeed, before the two stepped off the train, the Queen gifted Meghan with a delicate pair of pearl-and-diamond earrings."
And she's not the only one who made Meghan feel at home. The book also claims the former Suits actress saw father-in-law Prince Charles as a "second father," after having an extranged relationship with her own father, Thomas Markle.
The authors add, "Meghan had her own reasons for admiring her father-in-law, who had poignantly walked her down the aisle when her own father let her down.
"At the time, a trusted confidant said Meghan 'found such a supportive and loving father in Charles, which has really changed her life for the better.'"
