King Charles and Camilla set to honor the Queen this festive season by continuing her Christmas tradition
King Charles and Camilla's Christmas plans have been revealed as the royal couple plans to continue the Queen's traditions
King Charles and Camilla's Christmas plans have been revealed by Buckingham Palace, as it was announced that the couple will be maintaining the Queen's long held traditions.
- The King and the Queen consort are currently preparing to mark the Christmas season for the first time since Queen Elizabeth II's passing.
- This festive period will be particularly significant as the monarch will now decide how the Royal Family will celebrate the Christian holiday.

In a statement released to the press, Buckingham Palace announced that the King and Queen consort will be honoring the Queen this Christmas by continuing her Christmas traditions. This includes spending the festive season at Sandringham House, the home the former monarch loved.
Although Queen Elizabeth II spent the last two Christmases in 2021 and 2020 in Windsor Castle because of the pandemic, Sandringham was the typical place she celebrated the festive season and the place she spent more than 30 Christmases in her lifetime.
This private Norfolk home has been owned by the Royal Family for generations and is the perfect home to host the wider Royal Family, many of whom have their own homes in the surrounding area.
The Prince and Princess of Wales's country home Amner House is just a short journey from this estate, and will allow them to continue their tradition of celebrating Christmas in Norfolk.
It is thought that the King and Queen consort plan to uphold the Queen's tradition of hosting the whole family for Christmas lunch, and many of the royals will visit Sandringham so that they be together to mark this bittersweet occasion. The festivities will of course be tinged with sadness as the Royal Family prepares to mark their first Christmas without the monarch.
For fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the Royal Family, it is thought that members of the extended Royal Family will gather to attend mass on Christmas morning at St Mary Magdalene Church. This is a Christmas tradition that has been going on for many years and is a highlight for many people in the local Norfolk area.

There are rumors that King Charles could be planning major changes for the first Sandringham Christmas as the monarch, and it is rumored that the family will celebrate a less formal lunch and have a more relaxed approach to the celebrations on the day.
It is also thought that the Royals are ‘bracing themselves’ to be at Prince Harry and Meghan’s ‘mercy' this Christmas. This is because the royal couple is expected to release a new docu-series and tell-all memoir around this festive period. It is possible that these releases will ruffle some royal feathers and therefore it is highly likely that this time will be somewhat tense for the family.
