Kensington Palace have announced Prince William and Catherine will be attending this year’s BAFTA Film Awards.
The award ceremony will take place on Sunday 10th of February.
The Duke of Cambridge, as BAFTA President, will present the Fellowship award.
BAFTA announced they are looking forward to having Prince William and Catherine attend this year’s film awards ceremony, sharing the following message on social media, ‘We’re thrilled to be welcoming Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to the Film Awards once again on Sunday 10 February! As President of BAFTA, The Duke will also present the Fellowship to Thelma Schoonmaker #EEBAFTAs’
Royal fans were quick to share their excitement on social media, with one person saying, ‘I love to see Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at their events. They look so good together’ while another very excited fan simply wrote, ‘YES! YESS! YESSS.’
Fans are also looking forward to finding out what Catherine will be wearing, ‘Yaaas!!! They are amazing! I would love to see Catherine wearing off shoulder dress again!’
The film awards will broadcast on BBC 1 and you will even be able to watch the red carpet live to catch a glimpse of the gorgeous stars.
The nominations for this year’s BAFTA film awards were announced earlier this month with national treasure Olivia Colman up for best actress for her role in The Favourite, which is also up for Best Film. Green Book and A Star is Born have also been nominated for Best Film.
Taking place in London’s Royal Albert Hall, the awards will be hosted by star of Absolutely Fabulous, Joanna Lumley, who also hosted the awards last year.
It is not the Duke and Duchess’s first time on the red carpet as the pair have previously attended the film awards. So hopefully they won’t feel too starstruck!
