Rebel Wilson may not be royal, but she came close enough this week - donning the same dress worn by Meghan Markle last year.
The Australian comedian showed up to the Pooch Perfect set in Los Angeles last Saturday in the Safiyaa red gown, giving fans everywhere some major fashion flashbacks.
“Loving myself SICK in this dress,” Rebel wrote on Instagram, tagging her entire glam squad to credit their contribution to the final look. She paired the stunning dress, which costs a cool £1,295, with delicate makeup and loose blonde curls.
Friends of the Isn’t It Romantic actor were quick to laud the gorgeous ensemble. Alexis Knapp, her Pitch Perfect costar, commented, “Hello gorgeous wombannn!!” while TV host Carly J Steel simply responded, “Fire,” with a series of flaming emojis.

This isn’t the first time the show-stopping capelet gown has hit the headlines.
The dress, also known as the ‘Kalika’, made its red carpet debut on Meghan Markle last March. The Duchess of Sussex wore the garment to the Mountbatten Music Festival, a fundraising event for the Royal Marines Association. The dress’s bold color perfectly coordinated with Prince Harry, who, as Captain-General of the Royal Marines, was suited up in his medalled red uniform.

Before any copyright claims are filed, it’s worth noting that Rebel’s outfit wasn’t exactly a replica of Meghan’s. The Bridesmaids comic stamped her signature style on the look by keeping it fuss-free, forgoing jewelry and a purse. The Duchess of Sussex, on the other hand, opted to add some accessories to the dress, including a pair of crystal beaded earrings and a satin clutch.
Either way, it’s safe to say that both ladies looked absolutely fantastic.
