The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are truly getting stuck into their neighbourhood by supporting the first ever Montecito Holiday Car Parade.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were among those to make donations at their local neighborhood’s annual Christmas bonanza last week.

Meghan and Prince Harry stepped back as senior members of the royal family back in 2020 and relocated to America. It's clear that the royal couple has settled into their Montecito neighborhood since moving there. In doing so, they've proved just what big parts of the community they are during the Annual Festive Montecito Holiday Car Parade.

The event sees brightly-lit cars, fit with tinsel and garlands, make their way through the neighborhood followed by Santa Claus handing out sweets to the locals.

While it’s unclear what the money raised goes towards, locals were thrilled to announce the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were among sponsors.

All the details were revealed in the Montecito Journal (a local newspaper), which read, “With the theme ‘Holiday Magic,’ it was indeed a magical evening for the 1st Annual Montecito Holiday Car Parade.

“Kids from 1 to 92 lined the streets of the parade route cheering on the brightly-lit cars decorated with toys, garland, Santa’s mailbox, sleighs, pets, holiday music, and more.

“As the merriment still lingers in the air, here’s to a new Montecito holiday tradition!

“Thanks to the many parade sponsors including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who were first to donate.”

The couple are said to be loving life as a family of four, after Meghan gave birth to their second child, a daughter, back in June.

In fact, a close friend of the Duchess recently revealed they’d “found their rhythm” as a four.

Meghan’s make-up artist, Daniel Partin, told People magazine, “They are loving life as a family of four. 'They've struck a rhythm as a foursome.

“It's about finding that work-life balance now. They're experiencing it themselves.”

It is thought the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will remain in America for the festive season, despite it being the Queen’s first Christmas without her husband, Prince Philip. Even without the Sussexes, the Queen is determined to host a ‘most memorable’ Christmas at Sandringham to make up for last year.
