Lladró, Spain's best known porcelain manufacturer, celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. We look at some of the company's most iconic pieces.
Lladró, leading Spanish porcelain manufacturer of high-end sculptures and decorative pieces for the home, are turning 60 this year. Founded in 1953 by Juan, Jose and Vicente Lladró, this company has enjoyed unrivalled success worldwide. In later years, designer collaborations helped the company to move with the times and capture a whole new audience. In particular, the Parrot Party, part of the Lladró Atelier collective, has proved a huge success, opening up a new world to the Lladró enthusiast.

Lladró is probably best known for their iconic figurines, with themes like motherhood, angels and dancers being particularly popular and memorable. These are true classic pieces crafted with quality and skill. You can almost feel the emotion pouring from each exquisite piece. Every piece in the collection is handmade in Lladró's Valencia workshop.
My Little Sweetie, £580
The most significant change in Lladró's history came about around their 50th birthday, when the three founding brothers decided to hand over to the younger generation. From here onwards, Lladró focused more on home décor and ventured into lighting, table top art pieces and even home fragrance. Fabulous collaborations were also formed with top designers, bringing life to gorgeous, contemporary pieces.

To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Lladró has introduced the Belle de Nuit lighting collection. A truly spectacular show of colourful chandeliers, decorative table lamps and wall lights. All these pieces are handcrafted and handpainted in pretty colours. They also adorn delicate porcelain lithophane lampshades, giving off a soft glowing light. A truly wonderful collection and a real celebration of a much loved brand.
