Brace yourselves, Gilmore Girls fans. Alexis Bledel has finally addressed the age-old question: who should Rory end up with on Gilmore Girls? Our Stars Hollow scholar has blessed fans with the answer, but it probably wasn't the one you were hoping for.

During an episode of Watch What Happens Live on May 23, Bravo exec Andy Cohen spoke with the cast of The Handmaid's Tale, including Alexis, about their buzz-worthy new season. During the interview, he also took the opportunity to single out Alexis with a few burning Q's about the show that made her famous.

Naturally, he had no choice but to ask if she thought Rory should end up with Dean (Jared Padalecki), Jess (Milo Ventimiglia), or Logan (Matt Czuchry).

For those who need a Gilmore Girls refresher for this one, allow us to do the honors: first and foremost, the correct answer is Jess. Dean is Rory's first love, Jess is Luke's nephew—the bad boy who swoops Rory from Dean—and Logan is the preppy, rich kid she meets at Yale.

"Jeagan?" Bledel responded, combining all characters' names. "I can't single somebody out." We can't help but love her creativity.

Spoiler alert: The 2016 Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life revival featured cameos from all three of our fellas, and it left many of us wondering: Who is the father of Rory's baby? So, naturally, fans were quick to share their opinions on the matter of who she should end up with, too.

Since the long-running debate has inspired teams (#TeamJess being the best), other cast members have spoken out on the topic, including Stars Hollow's outcast Jess Mariano. In early 2021, Milo Ventimiglia revealed his pick to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, and shocked fans by saying that he is Team Dean. (Incorrect!)

Roughly around the same time, Logan (Matt) told US Weekly exclusively that he in fact knows the father of Rory's baby—but that he'll never reveal the truth, as it is [creators] Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino's story to share. We're all for that loyalty, but a little hint would be greatly appreciated!

We guess we have to remain hopeful that one day fans will find out the answer for themselves. Lauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore) appeared on Jimmy Kimmel to discuss the resurgence of the show and has admitted during several interviews that she has a contract clause that will allow her to transition back to her famous character, should—dare we say—there be another revival in the works.

Considering this Gilmore Girls actor invited Meryl Streep to sign on for the second revival (the one that hasn't been confirmed) we're going to keep our fingers crossed that Rory's fate (with Jess) will be shared with us at some point in the near future. Fans of the cult classic can only hope!
