Weekend plans are set: today, Netflix released its newest thriller mini-series, Echoes, which has already gotten fans hooked.
Just a few weeks ago, new haunting Echoes Netflix trailer left fans terrified and now that the entire seven-episode series is available for streaming, audience members have loads of questions in mind.
Where was Echoes filmed?
Production on Echoes started last summer, specifically, in late August 2021. Filming wrapped up by January of the next year, after having taken place all over the United States and in Europe as well. The entire series was mostly filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina, but the cast was also spotted working in Los Angeles County, California and in Paris, France.
What is Echoes on Netflix about?
The exciting new series follows the lives of Leni and Gina, two identical twin sisters that swapped lives when little and now lead double lives as adults. At the beginning of the series, one of the sisters goes missing and sets off a chain of events that eventually leads to the unveiling of plenty of dangerous family secrets.
"Since they were children, Leni and Gina have secretly swapped lives, culminating in a double life as adults," reads the official show synopsis. "They share two homes, two husbands and a child but everything in their perfectly choreographed world is thrown into disarray when one of the sisters goes missing."
Not to spoil the show but would-be watchers should be warned that the series ends with a cliffhanger. Following twists and turns throughout the entire production, fans are left to wonder whether Echoes season 2 will become a reality. Netflix has not made an announcement regarding a possible second season yet.
Who stars in Echoes on Netflix?
Michelle takes on the dual leading role on Echoes but her performance is rounded out by her stellar co-stars, including Matt Bomer as Jack Beck and Daniel Sunjata as Charlie Davenport, Leni and Gina's respective husbands.
Audience members can also expect Glee's Ali Stroker to take on the role of a character named Claudia and Karen Robinson to play Sheriff Louise Floss.

All seven episodes of the new eerie mini-series Echoes are now available to be streamed on Netflix. Each one runs between 40 and 50 minutes.
