One of the most celebrated TV shows of the past year is inching closer towards the release of new episodes as HBO Max just dropped a teaser trailer for the next season of The White Lotus.
As we already knew, The White Lotus season 2 will focus on a different group of travelers during their stay at a White Lotus property, this one in Sicily, Italy.
HBO Max just released a short teaser trailer for the show and also confirmed that Jon Gries, who played Greg in the first season of the hit, will make a comeback in future episodes.
As fans of the show surely remember, Greg was one of the many vacationers at The White Lotus resort in Hawaii that was the setting of the first season of the series. In the first episodes, Jennifer Coolidge's character, Tanya McQuoid, also a guest at the hotel, strikes a romantic relationship with Greg.
Jennifer had already confirmed her return to the series, so seeing her in the teaser trailer wasn’t as surprising as catching a glimpse of Greg himself in the clip as well. The two characters actually appear on camera together, with Greg driving a Vespa and Tanya sitting right behind him.
WILL THERE BE NEW CHARACTERS IN THE WHITE LOTUS SEASON 2?
Although Jennifer and Jon are confirmed returns on season 2 of The White Lotus, HBO Max has announced the casting of a slew of new actors to populate the Sicilian resort that will be the focus of the next few episodes.
Will Sharpe and Aubrey Plaza will play a married couple vacationing in Italy while Michael Imperioli of Sopranos fame will play "one part of a three-generational family." The new lineup of hotel guests also includes Theo James, Haley Lu Richardson, Adam DiMarco, F. Murray Abraham, Tom Hollander and Leo Woodall.
WHEN IS THE WHITE LOTUS SEASON 2 PREMIERING?
No official announcement has yet been made about the premiere of season 2 of The White Lotus but, given the arrival of the teaser trailer (which also highlighted other upcoming HBO Max shows), we suspect we won’t have to wait too long to watch it.
