The Olivier Awards, the biggest night in theatre, took place this weekend and the starts took fulll advantage of the weather to walz along the red carpet.
For the first time the awards were held in the beautiful Royal Albert Hall. The awards have previously been held at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. For their 41st event thought the Royal Albert Hall certainly lived up to its spectacular reputation.
The stars took full advantage of the sunshine and rocked the red carpet in their glizty gowns. We have rounded up six of our favourite looks from the evening.
Ruth Wilson looked absolutely stunning in a sheer embellished dress by Christian Dior. She wore simple wavy hair which showed off her statement ear cuff.
Amanda Holden wowed in her beautiful, summery buttercup-yellow gown by Greek designer Celia Kritharioti. The Britain’s Got Talent judge looked a true vision of summer as she walked the red carpet.
Sheridan Smith wore an embellished black dress with a simple up-do and smokey eye to complement the look.
Louise Redknapp’s dark coloured dress was covered in a pretty floral print with ruffles and a keyhole cutout.
Maria Friedman opted for a pastel, lightweight dress which was perfect for the bright evening.
Tracy-Anne Obermanwas wore an off-the-shoulder gown in a flattering navy blue. She was nomiated for Best Actress in a supporting role.
