It’s certainly been a busy week in the Cambridge family, as Prince William and Catherine prepared to send their two-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte to her first day of nursery.
The young royal started her term at Willcocks Nursery School on Tuesday, and Kensington Palace released some adorable photos to mark the important occasion.
But as well as Charlotte’s school milestone, the family are also celebrating the Duchess of Cambridge’s 36th birthday on Thursday 9th January.
So how might the royal be spending her special day? According to Hello! Online, the Duchess will, as normal, be spending her birthday privately with her family
Her Deputy Communications Secretary revealed, “She will be spending the day privately.”
It’s likely that Catherine will be spending the day with her family, Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. However, it’s thought that, at least for the morning, both of the couple’s children will be at school and nursery respectively – so perhaps the Duke and Duchess will be enjoying a relaxing morning at home together for Catherine’s big day.
In the past, Catherine has spent her birthdays in much of a similar way. To celebrate her 32rd birthday, it’s thought that she and William invited Prince Harry and Carole Middleton over to their Kensington Palace home, in order to enjoy a home-cooked meal. So might they be doing the same this year?
And of course, this will be the Duchess’ last birthday as a mother-of-two, as she prepares to give birth to her third child in April.
Catherine is now five months pregnant, and appears to be well over the morning sickness that plagued the first few months of her pregnancy.
In fact, she appeared just two days ago at the St. Mary Magdalene church in Sandringham with husband Prince William and Prince Philip, to attend the families final service at the Church following the Christmas period.
However, it’s now clear that the family have returned back to their Kensington Palace home, as they settle back into ordinary life after the New Year.
