She's wowed us all with her singing and acting skills and now Jennifer Lopez is launching her very own beauty brand – a skincare line set to launch in January 2021.
She looks fantastic seven days a week, 365 days a year but it's important we don't say she looks great "despite" now being in her fifties. In a new interview with ELLE discussing the upcoming JLo Beauty launch, the star reiterated that we should focus on people looking great, period.
Why age shouldn't factor in compliments
“You never want to hear you look great for 50," she said. "[People] want to just hear you look great, no matter what age you are. And for me and for the company, that is a big part of it.
"We don't want people going, you look great for 60, 50, 40, 35. You want people to just go, wow, you look amazing."
She continued, "[When people say] 'Oh my God, she's 50.' It's like, does it matter? You're just your best self, no matter what."
Of course, the star isn't the first to speak out against the way society talks about getting older. Recently Helen Mirren explained why she hates the term "anti-ageing".
J-Lo on Botox
J-Lo also revealed that she experienced pressure to have Botox as young as her twenties when visiting a doctor with her then-boyfriend.

"I was 20-something years old and I haven't ever had Botox to this day. And [the doctor] said, 'Did you know you have a little line right here? We should start Botox.' I mean, I had to be 23 years old, right? And I was like, 'I'm going to pass.'
"I was like, no, thank you. And I just wonder what would've happened to me if I would've started Botox at 23, what I would look like right now. My face would be a totally different face today."
