How do you celebrate Valentine's Day after two decades of knowing each other? Ben Affleck can give you some tips.
Ben, who officially started dating Jennifer Lopez again last year after a nearly 20-year-long hiatus, just gifted his beau a four-minute video montage of their best moments together from the early 2000s, which is when they first got together (here is a history of their relationship in pictures to refresh your memory).
Jennifer shared the video on her newsletter, On The JLo, calling it "an early Valentine's Day present" from Ben. You can watch it right here:
"Watching it made me think about the journey of true love, its unexpected twists and turns, and that when it's real, it actually can last forever," the artist wrote in her newsletter. "This seriously melted my heart."
The clip is set to Jennifer’s own song, On My Way, part of the soundtrack to her latest movie, Marry Me. Portions of the track’s official music video are interspersed with Bennifer footage from 2002 through 2004, the year they called off their engagement.
Fans will notice a slew of recognizable scenes, including the 2003 premiere of the couple's movie Gigli, Ben's cameo in the epic Jenny from the Block video and a whole lot of appearances by Matt Damon, Ben's best friend and artistic partner.
Fans are actually wondering why the video features so many Ben-and-Matt scenes from their 1997 Academy Award-nominated film Good Will Hunting, for which the duo won the Best Original Screenplay Oscar.
Given that Jennifer has repeatedly explained how public scrutiny led to the couple's breakup the first time around, we are a bit shocked that the artist has decided to share such a personal gift with the world—but we're obviously glad she did.
Alas, when in love, some people like to scream it from the rooftops, letting the world know that they’ve found their person—which is exactly what Bennifer has been doing since rekindling their romance in mid-2021. The couple has been spotted on family date nights, at movie premieres, at last night's Super Bowl game, walking around town together and more—and we just can’t get enough of them together.
