Carol Vorderman has revealed the impressive body results of her new workout routine, insisting she's 'not giving up' as she flexed her enviable muscles at her gym in Portugal. 

The former Countdown host gave fans serious fitness motivation on Tuesday after sharing 'glowing' photos from her latest exercise session on Instagram, proving once again that fitness for women over 50 doesn't need to be a chore. 

Carol, 61, oozed post-workout endorphins as she smiled brightly and tensed her sculpted biceps in the cheeky selfies, much to the delight of her adoring 239k followers. 

Wearing a purple and orange sports bra with Stronger leopard-print leggings and coordinating orange sneakers by Stella McCartney, the British media personality credited her athletic physique to "spending a lot more time at the gym" during her summer 2022 holiday. 

She also said that she is "learning new routines", hailing Sarah Willingham and Robert Rinder for teaching her the ropes. The inspiring post, which was signed off with a cheeky "BOOOMMMMM", comes just a few months after Carol Vorderman sent fans wild in a plunging aviator-style jumpsuit at the Top Gun premiere in London.

Carol jetted out of England at the end of July to attend Juicy Oasis, a health retreat located in the heart of Portugal. She has since posted multiple updates from her stay at the luxurious wellness destination, including videos of her intense personal training sessions and hilarious 'paddleboarding' on the lake.

Fans were quick to commend the mathematician's hard work, with many flooding her comment section to compliment her toned figure. 

"Staggeringly beautiful as always Carol," one person wrote, while another said, "Wow, you look fantastic." 

Just a few days prior, Carol shared an example of her schedule at Juicy Oasis, which is run by the 'Juice Master', Jason Vale. The morning kicked off early with yoga at 7 am, followed by 40 lengths of the pool and a half-hour spin class. She then had a colonic at midday, followed by a 'blissful massage' that afternoon. Later, she completed a workout in the gym and an aqua aerobics session, before rounding off the day with "an hour in the hot spa full of magnesium salts."
