We all remember the days when Philip Schofield and Fern Britton ruled our weekday mornings on the This Morning sofa together. And the pair were an unstoppable TV hit, presenting the programme for a whopping seven years together.
So when Fern chose to leave the show back in 2009 after 10 years in total, we were all a little bit heartbroken.
But good news – the presenter is making a return to the ITV show! After eight years away from the sofa, she’ll be back today.
But sadly, Fern won’t be rejoining her old co-star Phillip. Instead, she’ll be making an appearance alongside her husband Phil Vickery, who is This Morning’s resident chef, to talk about their new TV show, Culinary Genius.

She’ll be chatting to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford (who are covering Phil and Holly’s break) about the programme, which will see nine amateur cooks battle it out for the prize, all overseen by a professional chef – including husband Phil.
Of the show, Fern said, “I am a huge fan of cookery shows and this one adds an extra level of energy and learning. To be working with Gordon, Rosemary, Jean-Christophe and Phil is just great! Is it possible to have too much fun?”
A source close to This Morning said, “It’ll be fantastic to have Fern visit This Morning again, she will have worked with many of the team on and off screen and will be a nice little reunion and chance to catch up.”
But of course, she and Phillip won’t be reunited. Sadly, it seems that pair haven’t really maintained their friendship either over the course of the years, with Phil admitting to Heat Magazine that “We were involved in the show and mates at the time, but we don’t really… I see Phil when he’s in This Morning but we’re not in touch now.”
See Fern on This Morning on 13th April from 10.30am.
