Could this finally be Andy Murray’s year to win Wimbledon?
What a fantastic weekend it has been for British tennis! Andy Murray was simply amazing as he sailed to victory against defending champion, Marin Cilic, at the AEGON Championships in the Queen’s Club yesterday.
There’s no question about it – Murray is the best British men’s tennis player we’ve seen for a very long time. We were worried he wouldn’t be able to get back to his grand slam winning fitness after his latest injury. But Murray clawed his way back, proving the British number 1 is made of stronger stuff. This win couldn’t come at a better time as he prepares for the opening of Wimbledon next week.
We can’t wait to see Murray pounding the courts on his home turf. Could this finally be the year that an Englishman reclaims the coveted Wimbledon trophy?
