In an announcement from Kensington Palace, it has just been confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be visiting India and Bhutan between the 10th – 16th April, shortly befor the Queen’s 90th bithday. It has also been stated that they are keen to build “an enduring relationship” with the country and are keen to understand the “hopes and aspirations of the young Indian people.”
The trip was first announced by the government and Kensington Palace back in November while the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, was in the UK.
The couple will be following in the footsteps of Charles and Diana, who journeyed to India 24 years ago.
It has been confirmed that Prince George, two, and Princess Charlotte, six-months, with not be travelling with them. They will instead be staying in the UK with their nanny, Maria Borall, and grandparents Michael and Carole Middleton.
