BAFTA TV Award Nominations 2016

By Isa Jaward
This year's BAFTA TV nominations are in, and BBC's Wolf Hall is leading the pack with four nominations, including the Oscar-winning Mark Rylance for his role as Thomas Cromwell.
Rylance is up against Idris Elba, Ben Whishaw and Stephen Graham for the Leading Actor prize. Rylance's Wolf Hall co-stars Claire Foy and Anton Lesser are also up for Leading Actress and Supporting Actor awards.
Peter Kay's BBC1 comedy Car Share and Channel 4 drama This Is England '90 each received three nominations.
Despite being one of the most talked-about shows last year, BBC1's Poldark received no nominations.
Following the record-breaking success of her album 25 and Brit award triumph, Adele received her first BAFTA nomination for the BBC1 special Adele At The BBC. But will the singer be able to compete with Chris Evan's TFI Friday anniversary special, Britain's Got Talent or Strictly Come Dancing?
The BAFTA Television Awards will take place on May 8th 2016 at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
