Shapewear is a staple in many women's wardrobes, but while it can help us feel more confident in tighter outfits, we would rarely use the word "sexy" to describe our trusty set, until now.
The go-to shapewear brand, Spanx have released a bridal collection so brides and bridesmaids alike can feel confident in and out of their outfits. It's called Spotlight on Lace, and is available in the UK online and in stores at Harrods, House of Fraser and net-a-porter.com.
"Women, especially brides and bridesmaids, have been asking for product that they could wear on their special day that was pretty and powerful," said Spanx founder Sara Blakely, and this new collection definitely achieves that. The four-piece line is available in the classic bridal colours of clean white, very black, and vintage rose. It includes a pretty bralette, full-coverage bodysuit, traditional briefs, and high-waisted briefs all with the smoothing and cinching power of tradition Spanx. The pieces come in sizes XS to 2X and range in price from £34 to £64.
If you're nervous about the new pieces lacking the magical shapewear power of traditional Spanx, you have nothing to worry about. While researching how to make the pieces look both practical and pretty, the company excitingly developed a new type of "shaping lace" that makes the collection look deceptively unlike traditional shapewear, and more like dainty lingerie. The pieces are beautiful and are an elegant new addition to any woman's shapewear collection. Whether you'll be walking down the aisle soon or just want some more elegant options, Spotlight for Lace is the perfect way to go.
