Rixo is famous for dresses, but their new coat collection is the high street secret you need to know about
The brand's coats are going viral
I've loved Rixo's dresses and skirts for many years now. In fact, I'd go so far as to say the British clothing brand is second to none when it comes to occasionwear.
I've also long been a fan of Rixo's underrated knitwear, but this season, their coat collection undoubtedly takes centre stage. I was lucky enough to get a preview of some brand-new pieces before they landed online, and honestly, I was blown away by how right Rixo has got it for autumn/winter 2026.
It's all about faux fur collars and cuffs, and of course they have plenty of their signature leopard print. Duster coats and long cardigans are another strong theme - perfect for wearing with jeans at this time of year.
I'm certainly not the only one who has noticed this step up in Rixo's outerwear game. I've spotted the kimono-inspired Micah jacket all over social media, with influencers and fans calling it the "coat of dreams", adding, "never would have assumed this was RIXO".
Such is the level of popularity that some pieces are only available on pre-order, but trust me when I say they will be worth the wait...

A hugely popular piece from the collection, you can pre-order this now for it to arrive in late November. I've seen this in person, and the faux fur is so impressively soft. This would make you feel glamorous in even the simplest jeans and T-shirt outfit.
I got my hands on the Milly coat a while ago, and honestly I cannot wait to wear it this autumn. It's not at all bulky, so I reckon I'm only a couple of weeks from finally getting it out of my wardrobe! It keeps on selling out, so don't miss your chance. It's got loads of five-star reviews, including one customer who wrote: "This coat is beautifully made, it is soft, warm and not too heavy. It makes a simple outfit instantly cool."
This knitted duster coat has to be one of the most popular pieces from Rixo's new collection. It sold out soon after it landed online, but you can sign up to join the waitlist, as Rixo is sure to restock soon. Pair it with the matching trousers for a seriously statement look.
Ok now I can't decide which coat is my favourite. The shaggy faux fur on this short suede style is utterly mesmerising, and it's also available in maroon.
What I love about these unexpectedly brilliant coats is that these aren't pieces you'll only reach for when you have an occasion to go to. Sure, they make a statement, but they're incredibly wearable styles, too. Throw one over jeans and a jumper to instantly elevate your autumn uniform, or let a standout jacket do all the talking with a party season LBD.
