When you have something special going on – be it a christening, wedding, big meeting or hot date – there are still a few beauty rules, tricks and products that help you stay looking good through the day.

The most common mistake is to overdo make-up in an effort to make it look different from what you usually do. Too much powder, too much sparkle and too much colour simply looks...too much. The trick is to keep everything soft and in its place, but creamy and dewy without looking caked, whatever your age.
