We were so pleased to introduce HRH The Duke of Cambridge to some of our London team and to some of the men we have been able to help in London and Liverpool. Whilst the Cambridges’ own post explained that the expansion of James’ Place to include the new permanent center in London will help see its lifesaving work continue in the capital.
“This new permanent London center, which expects to help up to 450 men a year, follows the opening of the first James’ Place in Liverpool in 2018,” their caption added.

Following the poignant posts surrounding Prince William’s visit, many fans were quick to echo his sentiments regarding these vital centers.
“That’s great news it’s a very important service which is a life line to many”, one person commented.
Another agreed, thanking the Duke for raising awareness as they wrote, “What a fantastic organization! Thank you for highlighting their incredibly important work.”
“Incredibly important work and great to see Prince William supporting it”, a third person replied.
Meanwhile, according to the Evening Standard, during this incredibly significant visit, the Duke of Cambridge spoke about the important thing he’d come to realize as a new plaque was unveiled to mark the opening of the new center.
He said, “The one takeaway thing for me today particularly, is the idea that there is a solution, there’s always a solution. I think that’s the thing the team have impressed on me. Despite anyone feeling like this is the last thing in the world they can do and taking their own life—is realizing that there is a solution, I think that’s really important.”
“I think men sometimes get so in the detail, we forget about the bigger picture and being able to have that bit of support that can move them forward, and there is hope and a brighter future beyond that,” Prince William powerfully declared.
