'We had such fun': Phillip Schofield pays tribute after 'sad' death

Phillip Schofield is among celebrities who are paying tribute to Johnny Depp’s late bodyguard, ‘Mr Security’.

Real name Jerry Judge, who looked after other big names such as Paul McCartney, Antonio Banderas and Julia Roberts, passed away earlier this week age 72.

Phillip, who clearly knew Jerry Judge well himself, and counted him as a friend, took to his social media to admit that he was 'so sad' to hear of his passing.

The This Morning star shared a picture of the well-loved bodyguard and tweeted, ‘I'm so sad to hear that Jerry Judge has passed away.

‘The best and kindest showbiz bodyguard in the business.

'We had such fun back in the day, the only guy who could get Sinatra out of a bar.Love to his family and friends.’

Mr Judge, 72, worked with Depp for 20 years and even had a cameo role in the movie star’s film Sweeney Todd.

He also appeared in several episodes of Dr. Who between 1979 and 1984.

Jerry was regularly pictured by Johnny Depp's side, protecting him at all times whether he was on a red carpet or out and about by himself.

Other celebs such as Andi Peters also shared their sadness at Mr Judge’s death. He responded to Phillip’s tweet with: ‘God Bless him. A warm and welcoming face to see.’

Mr Judge’s company Music & Arts Limited released a statement his death, saying: '#JerryJudge you were #mrsecurity in the #Entertainment business in the UK a one-off, nice guy, heart as big as a lion great friend over many years #RIP bud will never be forgotten.'

Mr Judge was so popular he even inspired his own fan page and was dubbed Depp's 'life angel'.
