Julia Roberts’ 100-carat rare yellow diamond necklace shuts down the Cannes red carpet
The jaw-dropping rare yellow diamond is thought to weigh over 100 carats with an additional selection of diamonds throughout the bauble

In Pretty Woman, Julia Roberts’ character famously said she “wanted the fairy tale” and if these photos from Cannes are anything to go by, she’s certainly gone and achieved just that.
Julia Roberts hit the Cannes red carpet for the premiere of Armageddon Time this week and all eyes were on the Chopard diamond worn by the movie star.
The Oscar winner’s Chopard necklace features a rare yellow diamond “weighing over 100 carats” at its center, according to the brand.
If that wasn’t enough of a statement, the necklace also features 54.67 additional carats of pear-shaped and cushion-cut diamonds making up the rest of the bauble.
Designed by Chopard Co-President Caroline Scheufele and set in Fairmined-certified ethical 18k white and yellow gold, the necklace — like the similarly sized yellow Tiffany Diamond made famous by Audrey Hepburn in 1961, and later worn by Lady GaGa and Beyonce— is easily valued at eight figures.
Letting the stunning necklace take center stage, Julia styled the enviable stone with a simple and chic look.
The star wore a streamlined navy Louis Vuitton jumpsuit with tails.

Julia and Chopard have previously collaborated on a special selection of jewelry inspired by her trademark megawatt smile.
Chopard describe the Happy Diamonds x Julia Roberts collection as “caught up in [the] endless love story with the world of filmmaking.”
They add, “She has the most beautiful smile in the history of contemporary cinema. Thanks to her communicative energy and grace, Julia Roberts is the triumphant embodiment of dancing diamonds' Joie de Vivre and Free Spirit.”
Chopard, which sponsors the annual Cannes movie event on the French Riviera, also loaned jewelry to stars including Eva Longoria, Elle Fanning and Lashana Lynch.

Julia later shared a closer look at the diamond on her Instagram, and people cannot get enough of the sophisticated glamour.
Liked by famous friends including Jennifer Aniston and Sarah Jessica Parker, Julia posed with the world-class diamond and jokingly captioned the photo, "oh, this ol' thing?!"
Fans in the comments simply couldn't get over the exquisite display of old Hollywood magic.
One wrote on a post shared by the official Chopard account, "A unique person wearing a unique piece designed by a unique Caroline."
Another summed it up perfectly, simply stating, "Now this is a movie star."
