"It’s a holiday wish come true: a cozy holiday scene with twinkling lights and a perfectly trimmed tree awaits you at the McCallister “castle” (oh, and so does my pet tarantula – mind watching him for me?), now bookable for the very first time."

"This holiday season, we’re playing by my little bro’s rules, so feel free to eat junk food, watch rubbish on TV, borrow my dad’s aftershave and choose your own adventure with a legendary battle plan as a guide. Just stay out of my room, okay? "

"After you’ve worked up an appetite, you can feast on all the comfort food your heart's desire, including plenty of Chicago’s finest pizza and a candlelit dinner of microwavable Kraft Macaroni & Cheese."

The trip doesn't include travel to the Chicago accommodation, but all meals plus gifts are included in the stay, making it the perfect trip for kids and nostalgic adults looking for a festive treat!

Airbnb revealed that this promotion is in aid of supporting a children's hospital, so your luxury stay will also be helping a good cause.

"‘Tis the season of giving, so in honor of the first-ever stay at the McCallister home, Airbnb will make a one-time donation to Chicago’s La Rabida Children’s Hospital, which is dedicated to maintaining and improving the quality of life for each of its patients with complex conditions, disabilities, and chronic illness."

Booking for this stay opens on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 1 pm CT, and the one-night stay is planned for December 12—so clear your calendars!

Other movie set locations you can stay

Fans of House of Gucci were delighted when they discovered the incredible Lake Como home featured in the film is another movie set location that is available to rent through Air Bnb.

This high-end visit is similar to the Home Alone trip as it is an exclusive opportunity to stay at the Italian retreat for one night and one night only.

If you are looking for something a little cheaper, one of the Downton Abbey filming locations is also available on Airbnb and promises to make you feel just like one of the Crawleys in the heart of the English countryside.

If you want something more unique, fans of Nine Perfect Strangers were delighted when it was revealed earlier this year that Tranquillum house is a real place and you can actually stay there

This property is not available on Airbnb as it is a real-life wellness and yoga center based near Byron Bay that you can book to stay in.

Another truly unique trip inspired by a film is a stay on the Spice World bus that was one of the most beloved features of the classic 90's girl power movie: Spice World.

If you want to spice up your life and live it up like Sporty, Baby, Posh, Scary, and Ginger, then this promises to be a very unique stay that is both fun and affordable.
