Ingredients
- 4 large vine-ripened tomatoes, chopped
- 1 small red onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 2tbsp olive oil
- 1tbsp tomato purée
- pinch of sugar
Method
Place all the ingredients in a pan with salt and pepper. When it starts to bubble, simmer for about 15 minutes until the tomatoes have cooked down. Taste for seasoning - serve warm or cold as a dip with burgers or sausages.
