The National Lottery Awards are the annual search to find the UK’s favourite Lottery-funded projects and celebrate the huge difference these organisations make to local communities.
National Lottery players raise £36 million each week for projects, funding everything from large projects like museums and art galleries to local sport, heritage and community groups.

The National Lottery is offering two pairs of Woman & Home readers a VIP trip to London to attend the star-studded BBC1 National Lottery Awards show on Friday 09 September 2016 where they will mingle with celebrities on the red carpet and celebrate the work of the Awards winners.
The lucky Woman & Home readers will stay in a five star hotel in London on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 September. The prize includes return travel to London, lunch and dinner on September 9 and 10 and two nights’ accommodation with breakfast.

The deadline for entries is Midday on Wednesday 31 August 2016. The winners will be picked by the Woman&Home editorial team on the afternoon of 31 August 2016 and notified immediately.

1. Competition criteria and prize 1.1 The promoter of this competition is the National Lottery Promotions Unit (“NLPU”).
1.2 To enter into The National Lottery Awards Competition you must be based in the UK.
1.3 The winner will be selected by the Woman&Home editorial team on 31 August 2016 and notified by email or phone.
1.4 Two pairs of readers will win a VIP trip to the National Lottery Awards ceremony on Friday 09 September 2016. The competition winners will enjoy a two night stay at a five star hotel in London. Accommodation is offered on a twin room basis on 09 and 10 September 2015 (all winners must be over the age of 18.) The prize includes breakfast at the hotel on 10 and 11 September, lunch on 09 and 10 September (to the value of £40 for two on each day excluding alcoholic drinks, payable by the winners then refunded), dinner on 09 and 10 September (to the value of £60 for two on each day excluding alcoholic drinks, payable by the winners then refunded), return travel to London (up to a maximum of £150 per person booked in agreement with the winners) and transport from the hotel to the Awards ceremony and back which will be booked and paid for by the NLPU. Any additional expenses are not included.
2. Entry and competition process 2.1 To enter The National Lottery Awards Competition entrants must:

by emailing the correct answer, their photograph and description of why they should win the prize with their full name, address and day time telephone number to firstname.lastname@example.org 2.2 All entries must be received on or before noon 31 August 2016 UK time.
2.3 In the event of any fault, mistake, misunderstanding or dispute concerning the operation of any part of the competition, the operation of the technical system or any other matter arising out of the entry process, the decision of NLPU shall be final.
2.4 Under no circumstances (including but not limited to any act or omission on the part of NLPU) will NLPU be liable for any indirect, incidental, special and/or consequential damages or loss of profits whatsoever which result in connection with this competition.
2.5 For the avoidance of doubt, all Entrants agree to the free use of their names, photographs and general locations for publicity and news purposes in connection with the competition in any and all media by the Promoter its licensees, subsidiaries and/or assignees. In addition, by entering this competition Entrant’s shall be deemed to have given their permission for such reasonable publicity. Such publicity may include winning entries being featured on-line and used generally for publicity purposes, or for articles to be featured in press online or in print. The Entrant hereby acknowledges that there shall be no consideration payable in respect of such publicity
2.6 NLPU reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice in its absolute discretion. Any material changes will be advertised on the website www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk and such posting shall be adequate notice to all users.
2.7 The Winners will be notified on 31 August 2016 by phone or email to the contact details given to NLPU by the Entrant when entering the competition.

4.1 Nothing in these terms and conditions restricts your statutory rights as a consumer. For more details on your statutory rights you should contact your local Trading Standards Office or Citizen’s Advice Bureau.
4.2 Any personal information you supply us is protected by the Data Protection Act 1998. Your personal information will be held on a database by the NLPU and processed for the purpose of administering this competition.

Governing law 6.1 These terms and conditions shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. All times and dates refer to the time and date in England.
6.2 If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
