We’ve pulled together the best events so you can take a big bite out of this tasty week.
This chocolate adventure takes you through the picturesque town of Brighton, sampling delightful treats along the way and learning both about the town and chocolate. The tour guarantees to leave you stuffed following three hours of stopping off and sampling the most delicious desserts Brighton has to offer. Tours also take place in London.
If you're searching for afternoon tea at its most decadent, look no further than the Hilton Park Lane. At their restaurant - Podium, chocolate and art come together in the form of their stunning 'Confessions of a Chocaholic' afternoon tea. Based on Pop Art icons such as Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol, guests are presented with a tiered stand offering all manner of chocolate-based goods -- mini chocolate fancies presented on an edible plate, fresh chocolate chip scones and cupcakes are just some of the treats guests will enjoy. Even those with the biggest sweet tooth won't leave unsatisfied.
Exclusively for Chocolate Week, The Café at Hotel Café Royal will embrace the chocolate theme and present guests with a cocoa-centric menu that balances the deep, rich cocoa flavour with other carefully selected ingredients, including Carpaccio of venison or Celtic scallops. The expertly designed menu also features new flavours of macaroons; including Chocolate and orange, Milky Bar and Baylands Bahibe and if that wasn't enough, they will be serving bespoke 'Choc Tails' meticulously designed by the hotel's mixology team.
Would you rather celebrate Chocolate Week at home? Here are some of our most decadent chocolate recipes.
Our Chocolate and Hazelnut Mousse Cake is light and fluffy on the outside and oozing with rich chocolate sauce on the inside - perfect for impressing friends and family. Or perhaps you might prefer our No-Bake Chocolate Tart, which looks beautiful and indulgent but is surprisingly very low in fat, so you won't feel guilty treating yourself! Our easy-to-make Chocolate, Nut and Caramel Slab Bar takes only 15 minutes to prepare and would make a great gift. If you'd like something a little daintier, our Chocolate Swirl Cupcakes are both perfectly elegant and delicious, or give our very grown-up No-Churn Chocolate and Baileys Ice Cream a go - it's smooth and creamy and oh-so decadent!
