President Joe Biden is preparing to meet the Queen during his upcoming trip to the United Kingdom later this month at the G7 Summit.
• It has been announced that the POTUS is about to meet the Queen.
• This will be the thirteenth president that the Queen has met during her 69-year reign.
• In other royal news, Prince William was awarded this subtle sign of respect during his Orkney tour—did you spot it?
President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden are set to meet the Queen for the first time in an upcoming trip to the UK. It was announced by CNN that the President and the First Lady are planning to visit the UK this June. The outlet suggests that this meeting will take place following the Group of 7 Summit in Carbis Bay, Cornwall from 11th till the 13th June.
This has now been confirmed as of 3rd June that President Biden and the Queen will have an official meeting at Windsor Castle on Sunday 13th June 2021.
A Tweet from the Royal Family's Twitter account revealed, "The Queen will meet the President of the United States of America and First Lady Jill Biden at Windsor Castle on Sunday, 13th June 2021."

The Queen has reigned for 69 years and will mark her 70th year on the throne in 2022 when she celebrates her Platinum Jubilee. During this long reign, she has met many different presidents.
President Biden will be the thirteenth president to meet the Queen as part of an official duty. The Queen has met nearly every President in office for the last 70 years.
When she was in her early twenties in 1951, the Queen met President Truman. This was only a year before she became Queen when she was known as Princess Elizabeth.
The only President in the last 70 years to not meet the Queen was Lyndon B. Johnson. Former President Johnson never made an official visit to the UK during his time in office and therefore didn't officially meet the Queen.
The most recent President that the Queen has met with is former President Donald Trump. The former president and his wife, Melania Trump had tea at Windsor Castle in 2018. In 2019 they were also invited for a formal state visit to London's Buckingham Palace.
Following the meeting, former President Donald Trump told Fox News, "There are those that say they have never seen the queen have a better time, a more animated time.”
He went on to say, "We had a period where we were talking solid straight,” he said. “I didn’t even know who the other people at the table were. I never spoke to them; we just had a great time.”
Although this will be the first time that President Biden meets the Queen, this won't be the first time that he meets a member of the British royal family.
In 2017, President Biden met Prince Harry when he accompanied President Barack Obama as his Vice President to the Invictus Games in Toronto, Canada. The Invictus Games were founded by Prince Harry and serve as an international sporting event for wounded and injured military service members.
Due to the Pandemic, travel has been restricted but now the President and the Queen can finally meet safely in the UK.
