The moment Prince Harry and Meghan Markle planned their exit from the royal family has been re-created in a new controversial Lifetime movie.

Ever since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed they were stepping back as senior royals in a bid to live a private life in their $14million Santa Barbara mansion, we've watched the drama unfold with fascination.

From their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, to Prince Harry openly complaining about his royal childhood on a podcast, the couple continues to send shockwaves through the royal family with their latest moves.

And now fans can see the entire situation dramatized in a new Lifetime movie, Harry & Meghan: Escaping The Palace—directed by Menhaj Huda.

A first look trailer has been released ahead of the film's release in Fall 2021 and features Sydney Morton as Meghan Markle and Jordan Dean as Prince Harry.

In the trailer, royal fans see Harry—played by Jordan Dean—say, "I see you literally being hounded to death and I’m helpless to stop it."

To which Meghan replies, "I am the person who is strong and gets things right. I can’t lose you."

According to the movie description, Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace "reveals what really happened inside the palace that drove Harry and Meghan to leave everything behind in order to make a future for themselves and their son Archie."

The movie will detail Meghan’s growing isolation and sadness, their disappointment that 'The Firm' was not defending them against the press’ attacks and Harry’s fear that history would repeat itself and he would not be able to protect his wife and son from the same forces that caused his mother’s untimely death.

We can't wait to watch!
