The Queen has backed Sophie Wessex - who is thought to be a 'favourite' of the monarch's - after the Countess undertook two royal engagements in one day.

How did the Queen support Sophie Wessex?

Sophie Wessex, who is married to the Queen's youngest son, Prince Edward, is thought to be the Queen's 'favourite daughter-in-law.'

Countess Sophie and Prince Edward do not have their own official social media accounts, so their royal work is often promoted on the Queen's Royal Family account.

On Wednesday, the Royal Family's account tweeted about the Countess of Wessex a staggering four times.

The first two tweets were promoting a visit Sophie had paid to a school in Surrey to mark World Teachers Day 2020.

The account tweeted two photos of Sophie during the engagement.

The first photo showed the Countess talking to students outside.

The tweet read: "The Countess of Wessex visited Stepping Stones School in Surrey yesterday to join staff and students as they celebrated #WorldTeachersDay2020.

"HRH with students learning outside in the Forest School.

"The Countess spoke to students about what makes their teachers and staff so special to them and thanked the teachers for their commitment and hard work.

"HRH also learnt about the measures which are in place across the school to enabled a safe reopening after lockdown."

The second tweet showed her with staff in the school's art department.

Sophie's second engagement was a visit to the national space centre to mark world space week, which was also promoted on The Royal Family's Twitter account.

She's certainly been a busy royal!
