The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wished for one thing in their future during their engagement interview ten years ago - and they have it today.

What did the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wish for in the interview?

During their engagement interview with journalist Tom Bradby, Prince William and wife-to-be Kate discussed their plans to start their own family.

William said: "I think we'll take it one step at a time. We'll sort of get over the marriage first and then maybe look at the kids.

"But obviously we want a family, so we'll have to start thinking about that.

While Kate added : "And I hope we will be able to have a happy family ourselves."

Ten years on, their wish came true as Duke and Duchess are proud parents to Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five and Prince Louis, two.

During the interview in 2010, William revealed how he proposed to Kate.

He said: "It was about three weeks ago on holiday in Kenya. We had a little private time away together with some friends and I just decided that it was the right time really.

"We had been talking about marriage for a while so it wasn't a massively big surprise. I took her up somewhere nice in Kenya and I proposed."

Cute!
