Kate Middleton’s 40th birthday portraits were an “unforgettable moment” for photographer, Paulo Roversi.

Paulo Roversi has described the moment he worked with Kate Middleton as an “unforgettable" one.

The photographer was lucky enough to be responsible for capturing the new portraits of Kate Middleton to mark her 40th birthday. They will be entering the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery.

Meeting the royal family is an honour in itself, but the way in which Paulo describes his meeting with the Duchess paints her out to be a simply wonderful person.

Describing their meeting, he said, “Taking the portrait of Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge was a true honour for me and a moment of pure joy."

“I was moved by her warmth and friendly welcome and enchanted by her shining eyes that reflected the loveliness of her soul and her smile showing the generosity of her heart."

“It was a profound and rich experience for me, an unforgettable moment."

“I have met a wonderful person, a person who, with her positive energy, can bring hope to the whole world.”

It’s not the first time Kate’s wonderful personality has been highlighted, and more recently she’s been likened to Princess Diana—who cared deeply about everyone she met.

Royal expert, Ingrid Seward, drew the parallels during a conversation on True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat.

She said, “She chats away. She talks a lot, and she has suddenly become more like Diana actually."

"Really chatting with people and engaging with them in a personal way, telling them little bits about herself."

Ingrid also revealed to The Mirror earlier in the week, "She is patient, and has the ability to listen."

"And she has discovered she has this ability with people, she is very good with the very young and the very old. That is like Diana was."
