The Platinum Jubilee best moments will no doubt live on in fans’ memories long after the weekend drew to a triumphant close with the Jubilee Pageant. This extraordinary event took place on the final day of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend and told the story of Her Majesty’s reign as well as the huge societal transformations over the past seven decades.
Whilst Her Majesty didn’t attend the entire Pageant in person, she was joined at the end by those highest in the royal line of succession for the second Buckingham Palace balcony appearance of the weekend. Ahead of this, several of the Queen’s grandchildren and their children watched the Jubilee Pageant in full swing from the royal box outside the monarch’s London home.
Several of the Queen’s great-grandchildren looked especially awed by the brilliant displays and it was here that Princess Charlotte reportedly mirrored her father’s cousin Zara Tindall.
Settled down to watch the Jubilee Pageant, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis sat in the row ahead of the Tindall family. Mike and Zara Tindall and their eldest children Mia and Lena seemed to be enjoying themselves too and there were several cute moments where the kids were spotted chatting animatedly in their seats.
And according to Hello!, Princess Charlotte also looked to the adults for inspiration as she was reportedly spotted turning to look at Zara during the event. Noticing that Prince William’s cousin was waving warmly at the crowd, the seven-year-old royal quickly followed her example in a sweet mirroring moment.
The Platinum Jubilee weekend provided plenty of opportunities for Princess Charlotte to put her royal wave skills to the test at everything from Trooping the Color to the final balcony appearance. Though her royal reaction inspired by Zara waving first is incredibly heart-warming and showcases the close bond between the Tindalls and Cambridges.

When Prince George was born in 2013, Zara was made his godmother and Metro has claimed she playfully interacted with him during the Platinum Jubilee Concert by gently poking him with a flag.
Just like Prince William and Duchess Kate, Zara and her husband Mike were frequently seen throughout the weekend as they paid tribute to Her Majesty’s momentous reign, though their children are more rarely seen at royal events.
With so many members of the extended Royal Family brought together to honor the Queen, it was lovely for fans to get a glimpse of their joyful reunion.
