Princess Anne shocked fans after jumping on public transport, as she surprised onlookers when she was seen in central London.

Princess Anne shocked onlookers last week after she was spotted using public transport to get to an event.

The Princess Royal braved crowds of Londoners as she jumped on the capital’s Underground network to attend an appointment.

A source told the Mail Online that the royal got onto the Tube at Mayfair’s Green Park Underground station, which is the closest London Underground station to Anne’s official London residence of St James’s Palace.

The central station connects the Jubilee, Victoria and Piccadilly lines, all of which continue on to travel towards different directions of the city - very handy for the royal!

Princess Anne is said to have taken a 15-minute journey to St Paul’s, where she headed to an appointment, before attending a London Fashion Week event close by.

A shocked member of Transport for London staff spotted the royal, admitting that most members of the public who were using the transport network at the time didn’t even notice the Queen’s daughter, who is mum to Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall.

“She came through with another older woman and her security,” the TFL worker told the publication. “We weren’t expecting any royalty. Hardly anybody seemed to notice them”.
