Prince William's reaction to Kate Middleton's encounter with babies on their recent trip to Wales has left fans in stitches.

Kate Middleton revealed her maternal instincts once again this week—and fans couldn't get enough of Prince William's reaction.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge travelled to Wales in honor of St David's Day on Tuesday, visiting local suppliers and businesses—including Pant Farm and Abergavenny Market—and learning about sustainable practices.

They also stopped by a youth club, where they tried their hands at baking traditional Welsh cakes, before planting a tree in celebration of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee 2022

The tour came to a grinding halt, however, when Kate spotted one of her biggest passions at the market—newborn babies. The 40-year-old made a beeline for two women holding their adorable tots, becoming visibly excited as she approached to say hello.

“Look at the lovely babies!” she said to William, encouragingly rubbing his back.

The Duke obligingly joined his wife to greet the mothers and their children, but notably didn't seem as thrilled as Kate during the interaction.

Fans were quick to point out the stark difference in the couple's reactions, with one person even commenting, “Love his horror and her delight when they say the babies! So funny.”

The encounter comes just a week after Kate admitted she was 'broody' for another baby—so much so, that she's even suggested to the Duke that they try for a fourth child.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like the future King shares his wife’s desire to add any more chaos to their hectic home life at Kensington Palace

“William always worries about me meeting under one-year-olds,” Kate said during her visit to Denmark last week. “I come home saying, 'Let's have another one.'"

The Duke and Duchess are already the proud parents of three children—George, 8, Charlotte, 6, and Louis, 3. It's been widely speculated that William and Kate are planning to move to Windsor soon, where they hope to offer their kids more privacy as they grow older.
