Prince William and Kate Middleton wish the Beckhams 'great deal of joy' ahead of wedding but declined invite for one key reason
The real reason Prince William and Kate Middleton declined the Beckham wedding invitation has been revealed by an inside source

Prince William and Kate Middleton declined the Beckham wedding invitation and were notably absent from the event celebrating Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz this weekend.
- Brooklyn Beckham's wedding took place this weekend at was attended by a variety of A-listers.
- Despite reportedly receiving an invitation, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge opted to avoid this event.

When Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the knot in 2011, the royal couple invited David and Victoria Beckham to celebrate this momentous royal occasion with them.
Returning the favor, when it came time to celebrate their son Brooklyn's wedding, the royal couple received an invitation from the Beckhams but unfortunately had to decline.
A source close to the Beckhams revealed to the Mirror, "David and Victoria wrote to William and Kate inviting them and the family to their son’s wedding, and William replied wishing them a great deal of joy but they are unable to attend."
Some think that the Cambridges chose not to attend this event because of a potential run-in with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle. However, this rumor has been debunked by the inside source who claimed that the real reason was because of security.
The wedding took place at Nicola Peltz's parent's £76 million estate in Palm Beach. Although there would have been security at this event, Prince William is in the royal line of succession and will one day be King, meaning he requires a certain level of security that could have been frustrating at a beachside wedding.

The source continued to add that Prince William has always been closer with the Beckhams than Prince Harry and therefore was always on the invitation list even though he and the Duchess of Cambridge ultimately could not attend.
"David’s attachment and history go back with William and Kate and they have a very strong relationship and they were their choice of wedding guests," said the source who added, "It was always about them, it was never about Meghan and Harry."
Another possible factor that could have contributed to the Duke and Duchess' absence was the fact that April 10 marked the one-year anniversary of the Duke of Edinburgh's death. The Royal Family shared a moving poem to mark one year anniversary of Prince Philip’s passing and supported the Queen through this difficult time.
