The couple attended multiple events together over the Jubilee weekend, from the Epsom Derby to the Platinum Party at the Palace and the Platinum Jubilee Pageant. Zara also attended the prestigious Scottish school where her late grandfather Prince Philip and uncle Prince Charles were educated. Reports have suggested that Lindsay was even invited to Zara’s wedding to retired rugby star Mike Tindall in Edinburgh back in 2011.
Meanwhile, earlier this year speculation over a possible Peter and Lindsay romance was sparked once again after a source claimed to The Sun (opens in new tab) that despite being in the “early days” of a relationship, Her Majesty had met her grandson’s partner. They added that the meeting took place at a hunting party held at Windsor Castle.
“The Queen is one of the most important people in Peter’s life so it’s only right that he introduces Lindsay to her,” the source alleged at the time. “It was a very warm meeting and the Queen was clearly delighted to meet someone who makes Peter so happy.”
