Kate Middleton’s shimmering hot pink Vampire’s Wife dress on Belize tour divides royal fans
The Duchess of Cambridge wore a showstopping outfit for her final evening in Belize with Prince William to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee
Kate Middleton went ultra-glam with the first evening dress of her Caribbean tour—but not everyone's so keen on the sparkling ensemble.
- Kate Middleton embraced a super-glamorous look for her final night in Belize, stepping out in a sparkling Vampire's Wife dress and a slicked-back hairdo.
- The Duchess of Cambridge's showstopper ensemble has divided royal fans, with some criticizing its suitability for the event.
- In other royal news, Kate Middleton’s royal rise risks overshadowing Duchess Camilla and Prince Charles.
Kate Middleton's first nighttime look of her Caribbean tour with Prince William has caused quite the stir amongst royal fans, with some hailing the ensemble as 'stunning' and others questioning its suitability for the occasion.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have just completed a three-day-long trip to Belize, where they learned all about the Commonwealth nation's rich culture with visits to historic sites and local businesses.
Their final event before jetting off to Jamaica—the second portion of their trip—saw them attend a swanky evening reception, in honor of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee 2022. The outdoor event, which took place at the Maya ruins at Cahal Pech, was hosted by the Governor-General of Belize and kicked off with a traditional Mayan welcome.
The Duchess wore a Vampire's Wife hot pink dress for the exciting celebration, styling her classic Kate Middleton hair into a straight do and Gen Z-esque middle part.
The 40-year-old kept her accessories simple with some delicate silver sandals and an embroidered Mayan clutch bag, letting the metallic gown—which costs a whopping £2,500—speak for itself. She also swapped out the blue Sézane earrings she'd donned earlier that day for a pair of gold diamanté drop earrings to complete the Hollywood look.
As with many of Kate Middleton's dresses, the brand has already been tried and tested by the royal icon. The Duchess wore a green Vampire's Wife dress during a visit to the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin in March 2020, for what would be her last overseas royal engagement before the COVID-19 pandemic began. The British label, which is owned by former model Susie Cave, has also been seen on Princess Beatrice in the past.

Kate's pink number received mostly positive reviews from royal fans online, with many taking to Twitter to give their stamp of approval.
"Oh, wow. I adore the color and movement on this dress," one follower wrote.
"As always, SHE wears the dress, the dress does not wear her...if you know what I mean," another person said. "Absolute perfection!"
However, not everyone was swooned by the Duchess' glam factor on the night.
"She looks sensational but also a little snazzy. couple outfits have been a bit inappropriate for the occasion," one unimpressed fan remarked.
Unfortunately, only the floral version of Kate's dress is currently available to buy online. Don't panic though—we've added a couple of affordable dupes of the sparkly version to help you get that majestic royal look without breaking the bank.
Seafoam green roses adorn The Light Sleeper Dress, with its petal-like flutter sleeves and serene silhouette. It's made from lightweight crepe viscose and is unlined.
