Kate Middleton gives us a lesson in power dressing again with a chic and stylish pink suit that's the epitome of elegant summer style.

While many members of the Royal Family are all dressed up for Royal Ascot 2022, Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, attended a special event close to her heart - and wore a killer outfit while she was there.

Duchess Catherine hosted an event at the Royal Institution in London today to discuss the importance of child development. During the event, Catherine chaired a round-table discussion with government ministers, including Health Secretary Sajid Javid, and the Early Years sector to mark the release of new research from the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.

For the occasion, the Duchess wore a powder pink suit from one of her favorite designers - Alexander McQueen.

We love this chic, and very affordable, two-piece from   Mango, fashioned from linen to stay cool in the heat like Kate.

Kate Middleton's dresses are often crafted by the legendary designer and it's clear that she's a long-standing fan.

The Duchess wore the ice pink Alex Wool Blazer with the matching Alex Peg Trousers, which are both still available online.

She paired the suit with a simple white camisole and classic, elegant jewelry by Mappin & Webb.

While Duchess Catherine's designer outfit may be out of many of our price ranges, there are plenty of lookalikes on the market at more affordable prices, like this pretty linen trouser suite from Mango.

In a post on Instagram about the event, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wrote, "It is a year since we launched the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.

"Today was another opportunity to highlight the unique importance of the first five years and the significant impact it has on our later life outcomes.

"The Centre’s research shows that the importance of the early years is underestimated, and, despite what the science is now telling us, we know that only a minority of people understand the critical importance of the first five years of a child’s life.

"This can be a complex issue but we have the opportunity to help shape the future."

Kate's no stranger to power dressing. Duchess Catherine recently opted for an ivory blazer and matching skirt in the style of Princess Diana for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee concert.

We've been inspired to invest in a stylish two-piece ourselves...
