Princess Anne is expected to be offered the chance to honor her late father, Prince Philip, following his death, thanks to her respectable and fuss-free attitude.
- Princess Anne is expected to be able to honor her late father, Prince Philip, by being given the chance to take on the work he left behind when he died.
- She is believed to have the perfect "demeanor" and fuss-free attitude needed to take on the Duke of Edinburgh's patronages—as well as those "abandoned" by Prince Harry.
- This royal news comes after Princess Eugenie shared some special new photos of baby August to mark Jack Brooksbank's birthday.
Princess Anne, who resides at Gatcombe Park, has long been dubbed the most hard-working royal, taking the title once again in 2020 for attending more official engagements than any other members of The Firm (148 to be precise).
Now, she's expected to be given the chance to honor her late father Prince Philip by taking on the royal responsibilities he left behind–as well as those that once belonged to Prince Harry.
Royal expert Thomas Mace-Archer-Mills has said it would be a "shock" if Princess Anne wasn't given the chance to keep her beloved father's work rolling with her own efforts—and he thinks she's the best royal for the job.
"She's not one for fuss, just like her father. Her very demeanor is very good for the patronages that her father had," he said.
Speaking to the Daily Star, he added, "She commands the respect of the armed forces and that’s why she will be given more of those honorary patronages which will have been left behind by Philip and her nephew chose to abandon."
Princess Anne and Prince Philip are known to have had an incredibly close bond, with the Duke of Edinburgh's character in The Crown admitting she was his "favorite child" out of the four he and the Queen had together.
Eileen Parker, the wife of Prince Philip's friend Mike Parker, once admitted that Anne and Philip had similar qualities that meant the Duke got along best with his only daughter.
"[Philip] always had more fun with Anne. Charles is more like the Queen, while Anne is very like Prince Philip," she told the Daily Mail.
The Princess Royal penned a poignant tribute to Prince Philip when he passed away in April, thanking royal fans for their support in light of the family's huge loss.
"I would like to emphasize how much the family appreciate the messages and memories of so many people whose lives he also touched," she wrote.
"We will miss him but he leaves a legacy which can inspire us all."
