Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have yet to reveal what they plan to call their daughter—and maybe that's because they've already given us a major hint.

Meghan Markle's Suits character Rachel Zane has a lot more in common with the Duchess of Sussex than you might think. Not only are the two women both passionate and lovable, but they also share another similarity—their name. That's right, Meghan was actually born 'Rachel', just like her on-screen persona.

However, like many Hollywood celebrities, the former actress ditched her first name before becoming famous and embraced the slightly more unusual 'Meghan.' While the reason for the swap remains a mystery, some experts have suggested the alliteration of her initials may have been a showbiz tactic to boost the catchiness of her name. 'Rachel Markle', though still beautiful, just doesn't roll off the tongue as smoothly as Meghan Markle, now does it?

While we're not suggesting the Duchess of Sussex would call her daughter after herself, it's absolutely possible she might give her two names—an official first name, followed by an informal middle one. Not only would this trick give the future royal heiress more autonomy over her public identity, but it could also settle any disagreements the couple may have over name preferences.

With the duchess is expected to go into early labor 'any day now', royal fans are more desperate than ever to find out what Meghan and Harry will name their daughter. 'Diana' was initially predicted as the most likely choice, but many now believe she will be called 'Phillipa' after the late Duke of Edinburgh.

There's also been talk of Harry and Meghan naming the baby 'Lily' as a tribute to Queen Elizabeth. Her Majesty went by 'Lilibet' as a child, and continues to sign personal notes to her family members with the sweet nickname to this day.

While the name of the duke and duchess's daughter remains a secret, there's one thing that we know for sure—Meghan's luxurious maternity hospital options promise a plush birthing experience. The actress-turned-philanthropist is expected to deliver baby no. two in one of three high-end Californian clinics—where she'll almost certainly receive the royal treatment.
