Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield's return date to This Morning confirmed– but there’s a big change

By Lucy Buglass
Holly and Phil will soon be returning to their presenting duties on This Morning, but producers have confirmed that there’s a big change ahead of the duo’s return.
The presenters will be returning to the ITV daytime programme next Monday (2nd September), following a seven week break. But the show is set to be very different as it will now run for an extra hour, from 9:30am – 12:30pm. This is to fill in the gap between Lorraine and This Morning.
ITV has chosen to extend the popular programme after The Jeremy Kyle Show was cancelled, following the tragic death of guest Steve Dymond.
This means that viewers will now be able to enjoy much more of Holly and Phil’s antics, and we’re sure they’ll find a way to fill up the extra hour of the programme - there’s always so much to talk about after all.
During their break from This Morning, it seems the pair have been enjoying the time off, even going on holiday together with their families in Quinta do Lago, Portugal.
Holly shared a lovely photo of the two on holiday, on a beach together. We hope the two have enjoyed their break!

Phillip also posted a picture of himself and Holly outside a restaurant in Mayfair, so it seems they’ve been enjoying some summer fun on home turf too.
“Thank you SO much for a great afternoon @mnky_hse 😊” He wrote in his Instagram caption, as the two posed outside the restaurant next to a gorilla statue.

But it will soon be business as usual for Holly and Phil, as they're gearing up to present the popular daytime show again. It’s always great to see stand-in hosts Ruth and Eamonn on This Morning, but we’ve definitely missed seeing them on our screens!
