Stanley Tucci honors his late wife Kathryn by making her signature baked bean dish. The actor shared a sweet video on his Instagram account, paying tribute to her memory via the language of food.

Although the actor admitted he's a little late celebrating Thanksgiving this year, he made sure to hit the kitchen and make all-American food from his London home. The recipe he chose was one his late wife used to make - traditional American-style baked beans.

The video, which appears to be filmed by his wife Felicity Blunt whom he married after he was widowed, shows the food-mad film star detailing the ins and outs of the perfect baked beans recipe. Unlike UK style baked beans, which the actor dubbs 'soupy' these home-style smokey beans are filled with smokey flavors like bacon and molasses and cooked in a casserole dish before being placed under the grill.

Stanley has spoken openly about his ongoing pain and mourning for the loss of his wife with whom he shared three children. Speaking to host Holly WIlliams during a CBS Sunday Morning interview at the end of 2020, the actor revealed, “you never stop grieving, and it’s still hard after 11 years and it will always be hard.”

The Oscar-nominated actor and star of films like The Devil Wears Prada, Julie and Julia, and Supernova was married to Kathryn Spath-Tucci, called Kate by her loved ones, from 1995 until her death from breast cancer in 2009. Kate, who was only 49 when she died, shared three children with the actor - Camilla and twins Nicolo and Isabel - as well as two from a previous relationship.

In 2012, Stanley married literary agent Felicity, after meeting via her actor sister Emily Blunt. Felicity, whose impressive career has seen her working with fiction writers like Rosamund Lipton, Jilly Cooper, and Danielle Steel - is 18 years younger than her husband. However, his clear joie de vivre means it's impossible to see him as anything other than youthful and everything from their children to their creative babies shows that they're an ideal match.

The creative babies in question, his impressive selection of cookbooks and hit food memoir Taste: My Life Through Food show the star's deep passion for all things gastronomic. It appears that food is a love language of sorts for Stanley, as it is for many of us. Cooking, sharing, and telling stories of the recipes we make for a special occasion or the ones we eat straight from the pan.

Food is something that clearly links Stanley to both of his wives and perhaps all of the people he cares for most. It's certainly a deep connection that endears him to his loyal fanbase who can't get enough of the charming American star.
