Now that we're in to week 2 of Strictly Come Dancing, the show has announced the songs and dances for one of the most exciting weeks of the whole series - Movie Week.
While last week was the celebrity contestant’s first proper foray onto the dance floor, this week, the pairs are beginning to get into their stride.
And so it seems we can expect some pretty exciting routines from the couples this week!
So, what songs are the celebrities and their professional partners dancing to this week? Fans of the classic movie Dirty Dancing will likely be delighted to hear that Ashley Roberts and Pasha Kovalev will be performing the salas to the hit song, Time of my Life, which is sure to be a brilliant watch. Will they perform the iconic lift? Only time will tell!
Joe Sugg and his partner Dianne will be doing the American Smooth, to the song Breaking Free from the Disney film, High School Musical, while Graeame Swann and Oti will be dancing the Charleston to the Spiderman theme song. We can’t wait to see that one!
As mentioned on last week’s show, Dr Ranj and Janette will be performing to a song from Aladdin – and they’ve chosen Prince Ali, to which they will perform the Quickstep.
Seann Walsh and Katya will be doing the Paso Doble to the Matrix theme song, while Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton are planning a Jive to Happy, by Pharrell Williams, from the film Despicable Me.
High-scorers last week Vick and Graziano Di Prima are dancing to the classic tune, Take a Chance on Me, by ABBA, from Mamma Mia, and Charles and Karen Clifton will be doing the American Smooth to Up Where We Belong, from the much-loved flick, An Officer and a Gentleman.
Danny John Jules and his partner Amy also revealed last week that they would be performing to a tune from the hit film The Greatest Showman, and it’s now be revealed that they’ll be doing the Paso Doble to the main theme, The Greatest Show.
And it wouldn’t be Movie Week without a song from Grease. Step’s Faye and her partner Giovanni will be doing the Quickstep, in time to You’re the One That I Want, from the popular movie.
Katie Piper and Gorka Marquez are performing the Foxtrot to the much-loved tune, City of Stars, from the film La La Land, while Lauren Steadman and AJ Pritchard will be doing the Cha Cha Cha to the Fame song.
Blue singer Lee Ryan and Nadiya Bychkova are also doing the Cha Cha Cha, to The Power of Love, from Back to the Future.
And finally, Kate Silverton and Aljaz will also dancing the Foxtrot, to Why Don’t You Do It Right, from the film Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
Phew! So which song and dance are you most looking forward to seeing on Saturday night? And which do you think will prove tricky for the celebrity contestants?
