Strictly Come Dancing has confirmed new judge as Oti Mabuse’s sister Motsi.
Motsi Mabuse has been confirmed as the new judge on Strictly Come Dancing.
The professional dancer will be taking over from longtime judge Darcey Bussell, who revealed back in April that she is quitting the BBC dancing show.
Darcey joined the show seven years ago back in 2012 when she replaced former judge and show winner Alesha Dixon, who quit the panel to join ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.
Now that she has quit the role, South African born Motsi Mabuse will be joining the popular show’s judging panel.

The 38-year-old is the older sister of one of the show’s professional dancer contestants Oti Mabuse, who has been taking part in the competition since 2015.
Taking to Instagram with a photo of her posing in a sparkly dress, the ballroom dancer spoke out about her new role.
‘I am absolutely thrilled and overjoyed to be joining the @bbcstrictly judging panel. I have so much respect and admiration for the other three judges and hope to add my own bit of sparkle to the show. I can’t wait to get started!’
Speaking of her previous role as judge on Germany’s Let’s Dance, where she has been working since 2011, Motsi added: ‘@letsdance dance has always and will always have a place in my heart – I grew up with @letsdance and learned so much, so don’t worry I am not going anywhere soon and November I will be certainly our first tour!!’
‘I am incredibly excited that Motsi Mabuse is joining the show,’ added Sarah James, executive producer of the show. ‘Motsi’s natural warmth, energy and passion for dance makes her the perfect addition to our esteemed judging panel.’
Motsi’s younger sister Oti also spoke out about the dancer’s new role.
Taking to her Instagram stories, the 28-year-old posted a glamourous snap of her older sister, captioning it ‘Welcome to Strictly’.
We can’t wait until the new season starts up.
Congratulations to Motsi!
