  • You never know what’s coming when something is live, and Ruth Langsford certainly had her fair share of shocks and surprises in store at This Morning Live over the weekend.

Ruth, 57, and her famous TV husband Eamonn Holmes, were part of the This Morning Live line-up at the Birmingham NEC over the weekend.

Although the Saturday show went without a hitch for the well-known presenting duo, there were still plenty of eyebrow raising revelations throughout the day.

Talking exclusively to OK! Online, Ruth admitted that she can’t help but get jealous of the female attention that Eamonn receives from fans. “You can look but you can’t touch!” she joked.

Eamonn also admitted that sometimes her jealously can spoil, “the whole day” if he receives unwanted attentions from excited fans.

After a great day on Saturday, many were looking forward to seeing the duo at the NEC on Sunday. However, Ruth had to make a sudden departure from the show to be with her family. Explaining her surprising absence, the show host tweeted, “So sorry I can’t be on stage with Eamonn @This Morning Live today – a family illness means I have to be elsewhere. I hope you understand x.”

Fans were quick to take to social media to share their support and understanding with Ruth, following the sad news.
