For weeks there has been speculation about the role of the Cambridge family in Pippa Middleton’s upcoming wedding – most specifically, her adorable nephew and neice, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
And now it’s been confirmed by Kensington Palace that the two cutest royals will be playing a key role in their auntie’s wedding – as George will be a page boy, and Princess Charlotte will be a bridesmaid. Many people have commented on the fact that 23 month-old Charlotte has been given a rather grown up role, and hasn’t been confined to the smaller role of flower-girl.
It’s also been confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be in attendance at the nuptials on 20th May, as will Prince Harry.
However, it’s not yet been confirmed whether Harry is permitted to bring a date to the wedding at St Mark’s Church in Berkshire – namely, girlfriend Meghan Markle.
Similarly, it’s not yet been revealed whether or not the Duchess will play a key role in the wedding party like her two children. There have been rumours that Catherine is keen not to upstage her sister on her big day – perhaps the reason why she hasn’t yet been confirmed as a bridesmaid, or maid of honour. Pippa on the other hand played a starring role at her sister’s wedding in 2011, as her maid of honour.
The last time young Prince George and Princess Charlotte were spotted out in public, and together, was on Christmas Day, when they attended a service at the very same church in Berkshire with the whole family in tow. Pippa’s wedding is sure to provide some adorable new pictures of the youngest royals – and we can’t wait to see them!
