Former Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes is stepping in to replace Lorraine Kelly as host of the ITV breakfast show Lorraine.
But there is no need to panic! Lorraine has not been permanently replaced she is simply taking a well-needed break over the half-term. Lorraine is taking a week off from Tuesday 30 May until Friday 2 June.
This will be the first time that mother-of-two Rochelle has presented Lorraine, but she is no stranger to presenting daytime television.
Rochelle and her husband, Marvin Humes, regularly step in to host This Morning. Rochelle has also presented The Xtra Factor, The Next Great Magician and Ninja Warrior UK.
Speaking about her new job Rochelle said: “I am so excited to be covering for Lorraine while she is off on holiday. Lorraine is one of my favourite shows and it’s a real honour that I have been asked to look after things for a week. I can’t wait to get started!”
The show will continue with its usual features, despite the change of host. Rochelle will cover the overnight celebrity news from LA, get inspiration from the tasty cooking segments and interview the long list of impressive guests.
Next week’s guests include: Zac Efron, Beth Ditto, Bridget Jones author Helen Fielding and guests from Britain’s Got Talent. Rochelle will also greet Laverne Cox from the Netflix series Orange is The New Black, soap star and presenter Sheree Murphy and singer and actress Jane McDonald.
Could Rochelle have picked a better week to step in? No wonder she is excited!
Rochelle has been busy the last couple of months after giving birth to her second daughter with Marvin, Valentina back in March. The couple already have Alaia-Mai who celebrated her fourth birthday earlier this month.
So Rochelle is getting back to work, and what better way to get stuck in than with hosting Lorraine!
