"My Mum passed away suddenly during the night. To say that we are devastated is an understatement. Feels like I’ve been kicked in the chest.
"She was a wonderful woman, so generous, nurturing and funny. A grafter. Often working two jobs. Midwife, Nursery Owner and surrogate Mother to many. A show off at times, I see where I get it from...
"My Mum was loved and will be sorely missed. Rest in Perfect Peace, Maria Chinwe Obosi. Gone but never ever will be forgotten."
Chizzy's celebrity friends were quick to offer messages of condolence, with former Strictly Come Dancing star Ola Jordan writing: "So sorry for your loss Chizzy, thinking of you."
Ola's husband James Jordan added: "I am so so sorry for your loss Chizzy..... sending love to you and your family."
While former Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown said: "Oh my lovely I'm so sorry sending so much love to you."
Chizzy later thanked her friends and fans for their kind words, writing: "Just wanna say thank you for all the lovely messages. I got a bit overwhelmed in the end but I really appreciate the love. Stay safe y'all."
